With the weather being what it is (cold and windy) and sweater, coats and hoods, being the current wardrobe to stay warm; it’s no surprise that wigs are getting a bit more tangled that usual.

First, make sure you are pulling all of wig out of the collar of your sweater or coat when you are getting ready. Truthfully, tangles are inevitable and the best bet is to brush your wigs often (no, it will not ruin the style if done correctly.) Spray some of your favorite detangler and slowly, from the bottom of the hair, start to brush. As the hair becomes smooth again, start working your way closer to the roots, being gentle as you go.

If you get the point where a brush winces at the sight of your wig, it’s time to deep condition the wig. Wash your wig as usual, then load it up with conditioner and only then, brush the wig through. Let the conditioner sit for a bit and then wash it out and style as you do!
